1970 ABC Fall Preview Part 1

The 1970-71 "Let's Get Together" campaign season would be the very last season that many ABC shows would begin at the 7:30pm timeslot, which was the traditional 3 1/2 hour prime time schedule (as would also be the case for CBS and NBC). The Prime Time Access Rule was implemented for the 1971-72 season (and the first of a long running campaign that would last from 1971 to 1974, titled "This is the Place to Be").

8:44- scenes from the 1969 CBS "Make Room For Granddaddy" special [produced on videotape] were presented here, as the new series hadn't begun production as yet. Danny took the project to ABC, after CBS offered him a time slot he wasn't too happy about.
