Thank you Coin Hound. When I saw this car I couldn’t believe how clean it was for it’s age and I consider myself lucky, the seller was a classic car lover with class. I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time.

Car in your picture is a '72, there's another '71 or '72 across the street too. Love those round tail lights. Loved these cars sunce I was a little kid. My mom had a '71 Chevelle SS 350 from 1986-1989.
@SilverTurtle654 ай бұрын
Yes correct the car in the picture was a 2nd Chevelle that I bought for $600.00 it had a blown motor and I was 16 just received my license and wrecked my 1970 Chevelle it was misty turquoise and I dropped the 1970 motor and the hood. I also switched the seats since my 70s were like new. My original Malibu only had 50k original miles. I bought from my Aunt she was the original owner.

When I recked my first 70 chevelle I bought a 71 in 1983 for $600.00 it had a blow motor so I swapped the motor out with the 70 and the interior, hood, trunk lids because they were in better condition. So I actually had a 71/70 mutt lol

My first car was that exact same car (Exterior color, interior color, vinyl top color, motor, wheels, shifter). I found out later these are called Malibu Sport edition (not SuperSport). Unfortunately it had a close front end encounter with a '62 VW Bug in 1983. I loved that car--I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks for the memories!

@@SilverTurtle65 my dream is to own a 1970 Chevelle Malibu one day. Either I get to keep my Dad’s (which has been in our family and has been his car for 40 years), or I’d like to find an all stock original 1970 Chevelle 4-door sedan. My Dad’s 1970 Chevelle Malibu is very special. It’s the Astro Blue color, hardtop, doesn’t have the vinyl top like yours does. It has the factory hub caps (I call them wheel covers). The interior is blue as well. I was practically raised in that car. When I was a senior in high school, my Dad let me take it to homecoming all by myself (which was the first time I had ever driven in it alone). That car was my chariot out of every school I graduated from. Dad even let me take it to college a few times. And let me tell you, as a 24-year-old, I feel like I own the world when I’m behind the wheel of my Dad’s 1970 Chevelle. He hardly drives it anymore, and I’ve tried to convince him to fix it up and pass it on to me. To this day, I’ve had no luck. I drive a 2004 Chevy Impala. The steering on the Chevelle is sooo much better than my Impala. Hearing your story reminded me of what my dream is one day. And man, there ain’t nothing wrong with the paint on that hood. On my phone screen, it looks fine to me.
@SilverTurtle652 жыл бұрын
@@ZacharyWhite25 I’m sure your dad will appreciate your love for the chevelle and one day it will be yours. But just in case have two Chevelle’s is always better than one, so I would keep hunting for the one diamond in the ruff. When I found this one I wasn’t looking. Unfortunately they are very sought after especially in original condition. Good luck

Really nice car..the 1970 chevelle was the only one with dual headlights and square tail lights of that body style..71-72 had single headlights and round tail lights...the build sheets can be found just about anywhere in the car. Under and behind seats..on top of gas tanks..etc..plant location decal on drivers door..ID plate on left side of cowl..all will help you identify the factory options it was built with and month built. Etc...most importantly. Just enjoy the car...you are now the care taker of a piece of history...the 1970 Chevelle arguably the best muscle car ever made...I’ve owned mine for 10 years now...I still smile when I look in the garage.

@@SilverTurtle65 hope you don’t think I was being critical. I have a 1970 Malibu also. I made stupid mistake of changing color. So eventually want to go back to original color. You have a sweet car. Very beautiful. A guy I spoke to this last week had a few 1970 Chevelle SS’s among other cars. I said mine was just a Malibu. He said no yours isn’t just a Malibu. Be proud of it. He said these beauties are getting rare. Personally I’d fix the dent. A good classic car body shop can match paint. If you’re going to keep it make her pretty. Love to see more videos.
