Sounds like it has an exhaust leak, but that’s cheap to fix. Beautiful car.

70 Chevelle is king…

I wonder if the 454 was built with the solid lifter cam or a hydraulic? I didn't hear any lifter noise. A hydraulic flat tappet or a hydraulic roller cam would be ok if the person who buys it doesn't care to fool with adjusting valve lash.

Please tell me how much and get in touch with me. I will buy that car if the price is right.

BTW , all factory LS6's came with posie traction

The narrator indicates date coded to late 1970, no disclosure of original equipment here. Color change too, and probably other modifications as well but sweet car!! And BTW, posi was not standard on ANY SS Chevelle. 12 bolt was standard since the SS package provided a big block on the Chevelle but posi was an option on ALL SS Chevelles.

When you ordered the SS with LS6 and the 4sp, the 12 bolt pos.was included with 4.11 gears ⚙️

@cvfunnsixspeed9213 I have 3 70 chevelles, one my dad bought in 1969 when the 70's came out. I have all the paperwork with the build sheet and window sticker so I'm pretty sure it's right ✅️

@@JoeBanana-in2ec Our family owned one that my father bought new in 1969; ordered from what was called Francis Chevrolet at the time in Bridgeton, Mo. It was a KC facility plant car; L34; auto 400 TB; on the column bench seat car. Cortez silver, black stripes, cowl induction, and black interior. This was our family car in the 1970's and by the 1980's when I was old enough to drive it, I did. I did all the maintenance work on it up until 1984 when it was hit by a drunk driver on my side (driver side); t-bone incident. Fortunately, I was OK but the car was not. Long story short, dad parted the car out for what now is pennies. Sad story but a ton of memories and one day I will own one again. In fact, dad bought a used 69 SS Chevelle for mom in the early 70's and we had two SS Chevelles for short time period. I have become very educated on these cars over the years with options, etc. I won't dispute your words on this but until I have official proof that ALL 1970 SS LS6 Chevelles with manual equipped transmissions with special order 4.11 (gears), which was an option automatically received posi-traction (which was an option on the SS package) I have to believe what the GM option books and historians have lead me to believe. Build sheets tell you how the car was ordered and left the factory......not enough there to tell me that was standard equipment on a LS6 manual car with a certain gear ratio. Send me that proof and you will make me a believer! 👍
