Ouch, i almost bought a 454 1972 gmc sprint! Back in 1976 for 900.00.dollars! It was at a car lot drove it! Went back 3 days later and it was sold! Wish i had it now!

Beautiful car ! My aunt had one of these super sport models back in the early seventies. I got to drive it back home from the desert for her. That thing was really fast ! My next door neighbor had one also but it was the smaller V8.

Now your talkin, Jay. I love 70 Chevelles, but an SS454 El Camino is even better! Love the color, the drivetrain, nice interior. Thanks so much Jay! Didnt see the cowl induction flapper move at all, which we all look forward to, unless he didnt nail it hard enough. Almost looks like the flapper sits low in the middle, to me anyways. Great vehicle

Gorgeous car, love the color & that 454. Only saw 2 things, cowl induction not working & I would have have had the tail pipes turned down behind the rear tires. 🤭

With all due respect, looks like the vacuum lines are reversed on the cowl induction. it is supposed to open up when you get on it. looks like it is being pulled down . the flap is open @11:09 in the show room with the engine off, should be closed.

The cowl flap only closes with higher vacuum (lower engine rpms). It opens with an absence of vacuum - running under load or with engine off.

Completely wrong. When car is off, the cowl opens. As the guy said above while idling flap down , when you get on it , the cowl opens but as soon as you let off throttle , cowl flapper closed again

@@ShelbyBikeBoy no, it’s an LS5 . They LS6 was solid lifters . They stroked it so I don’t know what else they did but wasn’t born that way
