@panzerdivisionsstrategieka89313 жыл бұрын
@@autoalfred ja :) 1970er ist gleichlang wie der 72er -> 5,83 und der 73er ist dann 5,97 wegen den Gummihörnern....

Brown and cream is a good color combo. It is laid back and relaxed in appearance. 1970 was another fine model year for Imperial.

Alles Gute.

Yes I have a 69 (my wife and I enjoy it very much! heh heh) No seriously, our Imperial is dressed in black we have owned her 22 years. Never misses a beat though I'm quite OCD when it comes maintenance/service, I do all my own. Great video, however I never take the Eagle 1 (that's what I call her, when the Imperial Eagle was a motif on the hood of all Imperials) out in public without her skirts on! These particular Imperials look so much more sleek and long. Otherwise thank you so much for sharing one Imperialist to another.

Great looking Imperial and loved the video. You need to buckle up the lap and shoulder belts. Not just for the safety aspect, but with the belts buckled, you get a better feeling of how the car drives and handles. Enjoy.

@@autoalfred As a 16 year old in 1978. I got my grandfather's 70 Imperial to drive. One night I decided to try out the lap and shoulder belts. I was amazed at how much better the car drove and handled with the belts buckled and I got in the habit of wearing them all the time. Four years later, a drunk driver in a Chevrolet suburban plowed head on into me. Because of the size of the car, what it was made of, and the fact that I was wearing both the lap and shoulder belts, I walked away with only bruises from the belts. The unbelted drunk had massive head and chest injuries. Five seconds to buckle up your lap and shoulder belts can make all the difference.

@@bradparris99 really? It drove better with seat belts?
@bradparris993 жыл бұрын
@@autoalfred Yes it did. You really feel the car and don't have that marshmallow soft feel that those big cars have. There's a bit more of a performance feel. Back when these cars were new, if people would have just tried the belts a couple of times, I think more people would have buckled up than did. I knew that wearing a seat belt was the smart thing to do, but it was the better feeling and ride that got me in the habit of wearing them. Try the lap and shoulder belts in your car and I think you will be surprised. Now it does take a time or two to get used to them and wear them fairly snug.

If you were a TRUE enthusiast, you would know rhat vehicle is not a Chrysler Imperial.....it's an Imperial Lebaron. Not a Chrysler Imperial. Edify.
@martinliehs25133 жыл бұрын
Even most American car enthusiasts don't understand the nuance between "Imperial", "Chrysler Imperial" and "Imperial by Chrysler". All three were valid, but at various times in the nameplate's history. As I understand it, the 69-73 "fuselage" Imperials were the last generation marketed under the "Imperial" division of Chrysler Corp.
