Not to shabby for an old truck good to see it driving around! Good story from Kelly about ranch working back in the day only thing missing from the truck was a couple bundle of baylen wire!

My Granpa had a 62 or 63 GMC3/4 ton with a 305 V6 . I never saw him drive it but it sat out by the barn for as long as I could remember. It was in pretty good shape. Wish I had it now.

From an old guy, that glove box tool is a rasp rather than a hasp. You young fellars crack me up :)
@johnhart12518 күн бұрын
Not a rasp, is a mill or bastard file
@280zone18 күн бұрын
@@johnhart125 Please explain the difference between a rasp, a mill file and a bastard file. So we can all learn together.
@mathewfullerton857716 күн бұрын
A rasp has individual teeth and is used generally for wood. The bastard file is a type of mill file with a more coarse cutting surface. It is one of three grades of mill files, being the most coarse of the three grades which are defined by coarseness. Hope that helps.

A couple info tidbits. I'm pushing 70 and the Marlboro Man was around before I was born. And the Big Block V6 in the big trucks was often a 401 cu/in. I'm looking forward to the next steps on this truck. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Why on earth would the distributor rotor leave grooves on the cap contacts when there is suppose to be an air gap between them to start with, sounds like the distributor shaft has a wobble in it
@HeckYeahBen18 күн бұрын
That was my thought too , but it was just major corrosion
@craigwhittingslow968916 күн бұрын
It’s actually corrosion buildup not a grove.

Great save! The Marlboro Man most of us remember from the 70s and 80s was Darrell Winfield. He was the real deal and lived in Riverton Wyoming. I went to school with his nephew and daughter. He passed just a few years ago.
