@capitalismdoloev2 ай бұрын
@David-s3g6o2 ай бұрын
I'm 65, it probably depended on your circumstances how difficult it was to get music.In NFLD. our hindrance was isolation and poverty,mostly radio wondering about the World.❤❤Live Long! ❤❤

I often wonder what made the 70’s music so great. If you were a teenager then, you never thought you’d see 30 because some idiot would push the button and boom it would be over. Vietnam, we lost brothers, sons, fathers. It was like constantly we were being reminded how precious and fragile life could be. We lived for the day, we didn’t think about a future job or career. We felt with a passion love, compassion, all those things. Was that it? Whatever it was, no generation since has come close to the music that ours was for touching the soul!

Angelic, smooth, full voice, Karen Carpenter. What a wonderful creation, and such a painful loss. Poor Karen truly crumbled at the loss of playing her beloved drums and being pushed to the front. I was just a kid, and I actually cried when I heard of her death. We started learning about Anorexia because of her death, in health class. My mother and her younger sister used to sing The Carpenter's songs, and their voices were so close to Karen's, and I would be shocked at how they could copy her. Of course, they didn't have her vocal stamina and beauty, but to a child, it was a wonder. Elton John, a vocal and pianist gift. Elton can sing a cereal box, and it would be Top 40 gold 😀 Elton and Bernie have given us so many hits! Ahhhh, the 70's 😊❤
