Great looking and sounding Nova. Look forward to seeing more on this car. Remember many Novas from back in the day. Good friend of mine got his grandma's 69 Nova 4-door when she suddenly passed. He swapped the little 6-banger for a 454 with a big 4-barrel, wild cam and fender-well headers. He welded the back doors shut to make the body more rigid and then removed the back seat to put a crude 6-point cage in it. It would fly but it was sketchy as hell. Was a blast to ride in and really pinned you in the seat when he got on it. Be safe and stay well.

You found a good solid Nova there. Man it brings back the memories....I should have never sold mine. I had a 1970 Nova SS and it was my second car that I had in high school. I sold it when I was in college because it was only getting 9 miles to the gallon and the engine stuck out of the hood in a 13 inch snorkle hood scoop. Plus, I was in my beginning student teaching and my principal was not too happy that I was driving it to the middle school where I was doing my student teaching....LOL. Yours is an excellent survivor Nova and I sure wish I had the money to find another one like it one day.

Thanks Bradley, it was luck, I've been checking market place daily, this was listed for 15 mins, I sent the owner a message that included my phone number. He was bombarded with messages. He said he choose mine cuz I was only one to include phone number. He took listing down after a 5 min conversation. No money down, just two men and there words. Picked it up the next day.

I just bought a 70 Nova with the 250 Inline six. I'm just going to redo it and leave the 250 in it and clean it up and daily drive it. It runs great it just needs to be cleaned up and repainted, I'm going to use Tractor paint to repaint it, it's durable and more importantly it isn't going to cost me anything, I have a gallon of Gloss White tractor paint in the shop just collecting dust, you can't beat free and I'm not building a 500 point concourse car just something to drive back and forth to work and to cruise-ins on Friday and Saturday nights.

@@bwsgarage Nice, my best friends dad had a 55 Chevy when I was growing up, his was a 4 door wagon though, Funny story to how and why he bought it, He had been saving up money tp buy a car to rebuild and his wife was mad because "he has a family now" so he found the wagon so they could both be happy. Yeah the Nova will be fun, I know alot of people would yank the inline 6 out but there's nothing wrong with it other than it needs rebuilt and prettied up, those 250's will run forever and I'm not building it to take it down the drag strip or to build a 500 point concourse restoration, i just want something cool tool around town and go to cruise-ins with.

body wise looks pretty solid. starting with nice piece. fire back for me is improper valve function. cam, rocker, pushrod off or bent. would you be lucky enough for 12 bolt, probally not if has front drums brakes. should make for a fun car. thank you

Any thoughts is this price reasonable, you’re is an older model and more sought out and had all the parts so I’d def pay the $7,500 but this one I’m looking at guy had no wiggle room

Honestly it depends. What is the condition of the motor? Is it fresh or is it rough like the body. You said the body is pretty rusty, check current prices on replacment panels. Decide based off info you research and make him an offer. If he has no wiggle room, walk away if deal aint right
