That passenger fender, the puddy coming through where the car had moulding down the side. 70 also had a louver on the fender, that square area with puddy coming through. I'd say that repo fender is for a 68 Chevy II. Keep Jamming you'll make that a nice car. Autumn gold should be code 58 on the trim tag I bet it had a black vinyl top. My pops had one same year same color 307, it was a nice car he gave to my older brother when he turned 16

I bet you are right with the vinyl top. I think we are gonna find alot of rot in the roof when we get to it. Wish this was a 307 car. It's original straight six. Still a nice engine for what it was in the day

@@bwsgarage I'm stuck wrenching on an aluminum 6.0 LS that stripped 2 of the headbolts on. The problem is half the car is sticking half way out my garage and it was -2⁰ yesterday! Plus we have gotten about 18in of snow in the last few days!

400 is robery for that small inner quarter panel. My 55 inner quaters were expensive you know that but it's a huge panel with outer wheel tubs and extensions installed and included so you get some bang for your buck. If it was me I'd patch that up it doesn't look all that complicated.

I agree Gary, I just can't stomach 400 bucks for such a small panel. I hear ya on inside quarters on the 55. I changed mine too. Big Job.

BW I would think from what you have showed us ,use new repo fenders inside the outside one's if you can see the cost would be OK ,save you lots of time and less messing around with the old stuff fix holes ETC ! Fix /fabricate the structure making it strong ,especially in areas that will not be seen ,so hopefully save you money and still accomplish your end goal with the Nova !

I am gonna fix the inside quarter bottom for sure, as far as the fenders and inners I agree, the cost of powder coat aint cheap. May as well get new. I can get the inners now and save a few months for fenders

I'd go with new fenders and inner fenders if I could. As nice of a job you are doing. The inner quarter panel I would patch as no one will ever see it. My two cents BW. 😊

Why yes there a different years fenders . 1968 Nova is one of a kind .1969 -1972:novas fenders as the same .

That is a 68 or 69 fender with the small marker and 1970 to 1972 are the same and i believe 73 and 74 mayalso work on a 72 but the light area is different

Hey BW , not 100% sure but I think it is Autumn Gold, sure wish I could tell you the story of how my girlfriend in high school’s 70 gold Nova ran her over, it’s actually a really funny story, you are getting a lot of things done , looking great, talk to you soon 😀😀
