1st car my family had when I was a little kid was a cream colored one of these. My dad always used to say it was his favorite car he ever owned, and he owned a lot of nice cars throughout his life.

Nice video! My Dad had a 425cui Olds with a 2 barrel carb. That car screamed for a stock model.

As usual, a very nice and informative upload on fine well preserved cars. Thank you so much for doing this for us classic cars fans.

I enjoy watching these videos, because these kind of cars are few-and-far between in my country (NZ). I'd love to get hold of a car like that and do it up a bit more.

Interesting car from the 70's • hard to believe that the gold paint was popular on GM cars, back in the day. 😎 • Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂

I had a 70' in this same color/interior color. Mine was a 400 V-8 with center console automatic. It was a powerhouse and a beast!!

Nice car, add a GTO grill, and hood, and it would really look great. Don't know why GM stuck the 2 barrel carbs on these cars. Had a '66 Olds Delta 88 convertible with a 425 ci and a 2 barrel carb.
@RamblinAround5 жыл бұрын
Ford used a lot of two barrels for a while too, not sure why. That would be the first thing to go if it were mine.

@@RamblinAround The only reason I can think of is they were cheaper. I was all into motorcycles at the time, 18 years old, and it ran good enough, and I had the CB750 4cyl that had just been released, so the car was just for dating :) Thanks Jeff !!

@@JT-SE-OHIO Exactly what I was thinking as well. I owned a least two quadrajets and a Holly spread bore, liked to dump the back two on occasion.

Very nice....@ 50 years old and still looking good. If you go back would you mind doing a walk around of that silver/gray pickup that was beside this one.
@RamblinAround5 жыл бұрын
No promises, but I will keep that pickup in mind. Thanks for watching my friend, I appreciate it!

Nice. I never understood the reasoning for a two barrell. Why put in a 350 and choke it? Save a few bucks I guess.
@RamblinAround5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't get it either really. It would be the first thing to go if I bought it. I will say that I've seen a few 2 barrel cars that ran pretty decent. This Lemans comes to mind: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5STlauioJmpq5I

I had a LeMans and a LeMans sport 1970 and the LeMans I smoked out the principal in high school! He didn't like me much! Can you do better on the price? That car needs to be back as a LeMans not a fake sport.
