My older brother would let me drag race his 1970 383 road runner with a 3 speed automatic at Puallup drags. I was 14 years old then. I had to look threw the steering wheel because I was to short to see over it. Then hang on to the wheel on take off. Best time I got was a 14.39 ET. Then my parents found out I was racing and my career was over til I got alittle older. Fun days. Darker green car. Then he bought a 1970 440 6 pack cuda.

I had a green one just like yours. I bought it off my cousin who bought it new in ‘72 for $1100. I sold it in ‘75 for $1600 and a rifle. Regretted it ever since. I’ve had a lot of cars over the years and that RR was my favorite by a long shot.

I had a lime green one from August 73 traded in Jan 1975 for a lousy Mustang II due to the gas prices. Biggest mistake I ever made. That Roadrunner was my favorite car also.

In 83 I had a 70 Cuda 440-6, 4 spd , shaker hood that was lime green, paid 1500.00 for it , always wanted a lime green 70 roadrunner 4 spd with the airgrabber.

Michael Bechtel mine didn't have the air grabber , I had 3 roadrunners in the 70s , ( not at the same time , )one was a super bird , other 2 were 1970s , 383 , the super bird was the lime green 440-6 , I gave $600.00 and a Bridgestone 125 cc motorcycle for it . In 1992 one of my friends opened up a used car lot , he called me and said I think I have your old roadrunner , he did he had one of the 383 -4 speed cars , red with black interior, he wanted $2500.00 for it , I had just got married, so you can Guess what she said . Anyway I didn't buy the car .

This is NOT stock, it is modified. Not stock are the wheels & tires ( stock rally road wheels & F-70 14 raised white letter polyglass tires are gone), the side decals, shift handle, The exhaust sounds questionable given the fact that there are headers and the factory long-duration cam is still installed. The engine has too many modifications: Wrong air cleaner, wrong valve covers (stock valve covers had an ECV valve & hose on the right side connected to base of carburetor, radiator & hose are wrong, starter battery is missing and someone attached the starter ground cable to the battery tray, never came with a "MSD" ignition module, never had a fuel pressure gauge, distributor & clamp are wrong, a scorched plug wire is resting on the right header, aluminum intake manifold was added and for some reason a grounding cable is attached to the intake. The four speed adds value however most buyers prefer the Chrysler 727 automatic. Otherwise, this is a fine example of a 1970 Plymouth coupe.
