Great video, I just came across a Howard Rotavator while clearing some brush. It seems to be in pretty good shape. Can't wait to get it home a checked out.

My dad had several different Howard rotovators over the decades. It always did a wonderful beautiful job as long as you don't travel very fast. When you travel fast like they did in that video it leaves it messy looking and clumpy. I had a gear more rototiller for a while and it did a pretty good job too but I like the Howard's better. We always left the ground very fluffy and very flat and smooth on the surface and we always got compliments on it. We would never leave it messy or clumpy looking and never leave footprints or tire marks! Always use first gear and low range and rev It up above 640 RPM.

Interesting! I always thought a Rotovator would be a great tool to reduce passes before seeding.

No till and planting directly in residue is the way to go. No erosion and complete water retention rain.

Sitting here in UK, and listening to the BBC farming programs I thought "What happened to Howard.?" I used a modified Rotovator in an experiment in seeding direct after crops with a Machine Called " Rotorseeder" in 1966. Made I think at Basildon. I know it's a long shot, very, is it still about may be in Denmark? Cheers, take care.
