I knew that as I was watching this episode. He seemed healthy here. The means of his death are quite interesting.

What an awesome guy that Peter is. I hope he is doing well.

I looked him up on Wikipedia. He had an interesting life and career. He divorced his wife the year of this show. In the 80's, he married Cheryl Tiegs. He just died two months ago in April 2020 in a rather sad way (wandered off with dementia and found weeks later).

Wikipedia oversells this guy. His good looks opened a lot of doors for him but he was mostly all about himself and self-promotion. A lot of his neighbors felt he got the death he deserved.

Wow! Kitty Karlyle and Peggy seem in favor of Marijuana legalization. Guess not. Kitty came out against in the end.
@psterud Жыл бұрын
I found that interesting as well, Kitty being very anti-marijuana.

Kitty sounds like a tyrant how she was questioning these contestants.

Thanks for uploading this episode. I wonder if these five were taped around the same time (November 5, 1970) that Bennett appeared on WML?

Bennett Cerf shrank a bit and became David Starkey in the UK! He may be some kind of enduring spirit!?!

What a coincidence.Bill recused himself,so it was Peggy’s only chance to ask questions and cast a ballot.

Hearing kitty say she believes marijuana is a deadly drug is the most 70's and antiquated thing ive heard in years.
@jim165670Ай бұрын
you're an I D I O T. She said it in the 70's. If an idiot falls in the woods do they make a sound. To find out just fall in the woods. Go get more loaded.

Well, seems like this weeks edition involving Bennett Cerf seems like they want to be disqualified, go figure. Bill Cullen 2,Peggy Cass and Bennett Cerf 1 and Kitty Carlisle likewise except she pinch-hit for Gary Moore in 1 segment as host. Unusual.

At least not natively. Surely there are some rich warlords who enjoy the presence of tigers.

Why does the sound only come from the left channel? I'm listening on my phone with earbuds and it's really irritating.

Broadcasting in stereo on TV did not take place until either the 1980s or 1990s. Video tape recordings did not record in Stereo during the 1960s and 1970s. Television networks had a hard time affording to buy color video tape recorders and the color video tapes to record the programs. Most daytime television shows were recorded and repeatedly wiped (recorded over the previous episode) in order to save money on expensive color video tape. Satellite transmission of syndicated programs did not begin until the 1990s. By then, color video tape costs became much more affordable.
