These were the days. The ground was filled with members and fans, not members and random people who'd bought their tickets months before just for the sake of going. The pitch around the boundary was covered with streamers, not polished and manicured for the sponsors. The goal umpire looked like a goal umpire, not some idiot in a baseball cap and T-shirt. Bring back real footy, please!

Not bitter at all - My kids only know Carlton for the abject failure they have been since 1995. Three wooden spoons! Bloody beautiful!!! Loved them getting creamed by the Saints - gee Bryce Squibs is tough and Murphy has to learn to shoulder more responsibility!!! LOL. Carlton - the gift that keeps on giving!!!!!

You ARE bitter, aren't you, & to think I almost felt sorry for you!! I have seen Carlton WIN 8 Premierships in my lifetime, and for that I will always be grateful. Beating Collingwood in the 3 Grand finals (1970, 1979, 1981) we have played against you always gives me great comfort. I actually thought I was above mindless barracking, but once again, Collingwood & it's blinkered, fanatical supporters who can't let go of the past have brought out the worst in me!!! I HOPE YOU"RE HAPPY!!!

I can understand your bitterness, it was all in front of you & watching the game slip away must have been saddening for you. P.S I'm sure 1976 & 1999 were wooden spoons for Collingwood in the modern era!! I am Ernie , I AM CARLTON!!
