As a 20th century mechanic, I appreciate cars like this. Easy to work on, with simple systems. For years, growing up, there was a big tall tripod in my back yard. My older brother and his friends would but old junkers, and make hot rods out of them. They'd park the cars under that tripod, pull the motor out, rebuild, hop up, and put it back in the car, in just a few days. I learned so much. Cars aren't like they were in the 60's and 70's. Now they are highly computerized, and modular. If you can afford the scanners, you can do a lot to fix the new cars. I've done that too, in the last 20-25 years. Cars are so cool. And I really dig watching guys like Jared, finding some of these awesome classics, and sharing them with us.. Thank You!!

I have my 1975 old‘s cuttless salon sitting in the garage with 115,000 original miles and no rust and I’ve been meaning to get on it and as you know Jared back surgeries aren’t fun especially seven of them so it’s now 12 years later and I still can’t pick up my toolbox but watching this just makes me want to get out in the garage and do something! I do need some pieces and parts like that chrome bezel around the round headlights? And also the air conditioning and radio trim on the front of the dashboard? You’re building another fabulous channel Jared thank you ONE for having all these these two channels and two for being a cop and standing up for American citizens a job you still do today every day I don’t know after your back surgery if you have gone back to work irregardless I hope you were able to if you decided you wanted to I didn’t have that option but stuff like this turns my motor❤️🇺🇸

I love the older cars. My first car was a 55 Pontiac Chieftain. This was in 1966. I spent every Saturday morning out in the garage cleaning the plugs, setting the points, just generally tuning the engine up so I could go out that night. I could cruise the hole night on two dollars of gas.

I loved the 60's and early 70's muscle cars plus the room under the hood and trunk space. I had a 71 Nova SS in 1978. It would go very well. Had a 67 Chevy Caprice SS with 396 . Bought it when I was 14 and it had all the gauges factory. So much power and would get 7 mpg on a good day lol. You would not believe me but I made a race car with a 72 Ford pinto using the original 2.0 engine. Would do 137 mph in 3rd gear. Have no idea how fast it would go in 4th. Those were the good days. The 50's cars were some of the most beautiful cars. The 60's are my favorite.

@@therayven3147 I have missed mine too but I gave it to a friend when I went into the Air Force. I drove it for 9 years off and on as I had other cars and trucks. I could never get it to stay on the rack track. Rev it to about 5,000 rpms and dump the clutch and put the pedal to the metal and it was uncontrollable. But with a rolling start that thing was bad to the bone.

Man, those were the "good ol' days" bruh... the engine bay had so much room you could climb up under there and take a nap... they were very easy to work on... hell, back then, you could build a full out race car right in your own garage... nowadays, you have to have a shop or garage that resembles the bridge of the Starship Enterprise just to do a tuneup... it sucks... Man, that dashboard and those wing windows brought back some memories... Great looking and sounding car, and great video... I liked it...
