LH is dart body line 23 is hardtop C is for six cylinder engine, next digit (3) is year of model. Next digit is assembly plant location, last six numbers is production number from 000001. Its a 73 dart slant six painted in a hi impact color with a late model v8 added.

I had a 71 Dart Swinger (slant six) that I added a sun roof (pop up) and did the interior (another on the list I should have kept. ;-)

Based on the Vin it is a Dodge Dart Hardtop Sedan (not Sport Fastback) - LH23, 2bbl 225ci - C, 1973 - 3. Looking at the interior, it is 1971 or 72 based on the metal upper door frames being metal, and the vent windows. 1973 went to different doors, no vents and plastic trim on upper door frame. The gage cluster on the dash is 72 and up, with the silver center piece from a 70 or 71 non Rallye dash. Except for a couple of special Canada orders for a couple of dealers in 71 & 72, 340 was only available in 1970. 8-3/4 on Darts was generally 70 Swinger 340, 71/72 Demon 340. I believe it's a 1970-1972 Dart with a 1973 dash and Vin.

LH23 also means dart swinger I forget what the gt is my busy has a gt and it’s not LH23 some also came with a post not many at least on a 68 Thers about 30 dart swinger specials crosstown auto I have a real 71 swinger with a 6 and they do not come with a 83/4 mine has the little rear end im putting a 440 with elephant ears looking for spindles off a 73 to 76 big bolt 73 to 76 has big bolt pattern
