okay, so a Tesla Plaid can do 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, the quarter mile in 7 seconds at 140 mph. So can a pop bottle rocket (of course, it's even faster). It's cheating. A Tesla just ain't the same thing as a hopped up Olds 442. Just ain't the same.

When this car was built, well, rocket racing wasn’t selling short blocks that were rated for 1,000 horses for $10,000.. being said it probably cost about $20,000 in the train drive. Now you can build a 700-1,100hp 455 using the rocket racing short block for about $15,000-$17,000. This car probably made about 650 horses, 750-800ft lbs of torque. Idk tho. Just an assumption by how it drove and how fast it went down the track.
