A couple of things about that bike The cabs sound out of sync. The choke is on when it is off. This means if the choke lever is pulling around the choke is off. This is an oil in frame bike. The drain plug is at the bottom of the down tube behind the transmission. Pull that plate and clean the oil strainer screen.

Carbs haven't been synced yet. I know it's oil in frame since I rebuilt the bike. There are many oil drain plugs, not just one in the frame. Screen has already been cleaned. Choke is off when the choke slide is up on the Amal 930. Pulling on the cable lifts the slides turning the choke off. Everything has been gone through on the bike except for a final tune and speedometer gearbox replacement.

I am not claiming to know everything about triumphs at all, but I know this bike and models like it well enough to rebuild them, just like I've done with this one. Have the factory service information helps as well.

@@dailyolds1970 I am not trying to be a jerk or question your ability. It was late and I was tired when I wrote that and I was not being very clear. I was a Triumph mechanic and I saw a T120 that locked up due to oil starvation. The sump screen was clogged with crud. It always makes me want to point this out when I see such a bike being resurrected. You also may not know but the crank shaft has a centrifugal trap built into it. It fills with crap over time. The only way to know that it is clear is the pull the engine, split the cases and pull the trap. Once the trap is clean there are very robust engines.

Yup I didn't think you were being a jerk. I cleaned the sludge trap in the crank when I rebuilt the motor.
