It’s interesting how Padres leadership included so much Dodger Blue. Buzzy Bavasi employed his network of Preston Gomez, Don Zimmer, and Roger Craig. Sadly,the Dodger culture didn’t work out as well during those early San Diego years. Clearly C Arnholt Smith’s ownership paled in comparison to Walter O’Malley.
