My parents had a new 1972 Skylark. I learned to drive that year on it. A 1972 Skylark will always be special to me.

@dave1956 your parents chose wisely. That's cool that you learned to drive on a new '72 Buick. I own some '72 Buicks and they are great cars.

@@TheSteeleGarage My father was always a Ford buyer, but I talked and talked about a Buick and finally sold him on it.

You’re welcome. I’ve posted several other ‘72 Buick videos and many more cool dealer videos as are coming soon.

They still say the bumper impact strips were an option. Yet, I’ve never seen an example of one in the wild. These are called ‘71’s lol. Great video!!!

I was born in '72. Wished I'D kept my '72 GS. Much simpler/better times back then. Wished I could have lived "of age" back then. However, would have probably got drafted though.

Is the humming noise on these videos an artefact from the original movie? It's really annoying... but the videos are great!

Are you hearing it through the entire film? I played it on my laptop computer, desk top computer, and my iPhone and don't hear any humming noise on this video. I'll ask a few others to try it on their devices as well to determine if there is a problem. Thanks for watching. These films are dry but I still find them interesting.

@@TheSteeleGarage yes, the entire film. It changes between two frequencies - a higher frequency when the narrator is talking and a lower frequency when he's not. I’m assuming it’s from the original content. My sound system has a 12” subwoofer so it has good bass response - but the frequencies aren’t that low. You probably wouldn’t hear it from laptop speakers though. It’s not just this video, other ones I’ve listened to from your collection have same sound.

I checked your other videos - ther's no humming on "1970 Buick GS 455 Stage 1 & Riviera Sales Training Promo Film - The Sportman's Buick" - but all the other dealer training films seem to have it. It's most noticeable and a higher frequency when the narrator is speaking. When he stops talking, the frequency drops a bit but the hum is still there. You cant hear it on an iPhone speaker but you can certainly hear it thru bluetooth headphones with the iPhone - it needs earphones with good bass response to hear it but then it becomes very apparent.

@@davidcollins7667 Thanks for the additional information. I'll continue to play the video on other systems, especially something with better speakers than this laptop and iPhone so I can hear this condition and hopefully address it. Thanks again.
