Many of these pics were taken by my dad, Jack Frey, who at the time, was the Express Photographer.. I was with him and being 13 years old I thought it was cool driving around in boats and flying around in NG Chinooks!

I grew up working on some of the very Aircraft that were in this flood. Before I even knew what Pennsylvania was. When I got older I ended up moving to the Area. I love and enjoy the Piper Aircraft Museum ❤️

thx for the footage. I'm a Huntingdon county native and we had much the same b/c of the Spruce Creek and Juniata river. Both turned into flood water behemoths b/c of the rain.

I went to LHU from 1984-1988, and we had the river across the street from our house. I know there was a flood after I graduated. The people there now don't have the view, but hopefully the steps they've taken will prevent this from happening.
