Neighbor who owned a car wash always purchased a new 98 every two years. 98 for him and his wife recieved a Monte Carlo. Olds 98 was such a substantial automobile that I could not stop studying it from every angle.

I purchased my 98 LS in Gobles it was dark blue and needed a wax job real bad. Michigan it was sitting in a farmers field. Paid $650.00 for it and it was a very reliable car for some time.

The 72 Oldsmobile was my 1st car. I would love to have it again. I regret that I didn't keep it. Great car! I never lost a race in it.

Mom and Dad had one .......it was cream.....455......got 8 miles to the gallon.....i remember riding in it and felt like a very luxurious car......we would pop in an 8 track and tool around .....

Great car. I had an 1972 Delta 88, looked very similar except mine was a convertible. Had it in high school in 1980. Rocket 455, smooth running powerhouse that will bring you down the road smooth as silk, or for those other "occasions", smoke the rear tires in a burn out like there's no tomorrow. Lol Great old car.

Many good memories in one of those in the '70's...lots of camping trips with the family. That car could pull a trailer like nothing.

My father had a 1972 Olds 98LS with the 455. Quite the car to go cruising in!

olds hit it out of the park with the '71-72 98...like it as much as the cadillac...great style. i'd be tempted to keep it as-is, except i'd treat it to some whitewalls

Nothing worse then seeing any old school flagship American car without whitewalls. 😏 smh It's like looking at well built man wearing a nice Brooks Brothers suit with super cheap squared toed loafers or a t-shirt. The loafers don't even go with the suit, let alone the square toes.

My grandparents had one identical to this one except it was a sedan instead of a hardtop. They made many trips from Ohio to southern Florida and once from Ohio to California. The car was comfortable but seemed cheaply made. Several area needed to be repainted early and the interior wore quickly. The car soon looked old in just a few years. It ran well for many years, , then developed several problems all at once. It got replaced an ‘80 Chevy Malibu that my grandmother seldom drove until her death a few years later.

I love these cars, but this one needs a lot of body work to get back to what it use to be. The LS trim is rare and iit is trim pkg that should have a padded vinyl top ,that painted top looks cheesy. Other than that it is looks to be a solid car.
