72 was great looking but the 455 was nerfed to 300 hp from 1968's Hurst rated at 385 hp. Still a beauty though.

The 442 reverted to an option for 1972, so maybe that status is not spelled out in the VIN unless it's a W-30?

The only bad thing about that car is the badging. fake. 442. To me, makes the car less valuable. It would be more valuable just to be a cutlass. for what it is. It being number one on the ven makes a big difference in the price. That's why I say they don't need those badges. Ven number one makes it valuable.

we tried to confirm if it was a real 442 but sadly there's no way to tell if its a real 442 or not considering its not a x code w-30 car and we don't have the original paperwork
