FULL TIME VIPKID - Is it possible?

i'm glad I found this as I hope to get my bachelors degree in mathematics. (I'm working on getting my degree now) but looking up stuff ahead of time as would be nice to find out if it is possible to have as a full time job. glad to know it is. I am hoping me homeschooling my kids counts as teaching my kids count as teaching experience.

Great video Hope! I love working full time for VIPKID. I have been working the same schedule 11 to 9 am CST with breaks after 4 classes. I'm trying out the split shift for a few weeks in the summer but so far it has been hard on my sleep schedule. I love that I can change up my schedule whenever I want!

Hope, excellent video. My question is...I am on day 92 with VIPKid and have been trying so hard to add more students in hopes of going full time. I have tried everything...trust me on this 🤓 In your video you make it sound so easy to come and go out of full time into part time back into full time and so on. How do you do it. My frustration level is through the roof with VIPKid right now. Thanks again for the video. It did give me some awesome ideas.

Hope, this is a great video. I contemplated all these reasons before I started full time. I love working from home. I split my shifts 4/5-10 and 9-12. getting up at 2:30 was too painful for me.

So, if VIPkid starts you off at 7.50 per class, and the highest is 9.50, what do you have to do to move up to 9.50? How fast can you get a raise to the top number?

This is something I'm planning on doing. (Going full time). The way I'm looking at it as looking at when peak times are (Mostly mornings and weekend nights). I look at how many hours I want to work (I think 37 was the number I came up with), and try to divide it evenly into each of those blocks. I don't expect to completely fill every time slot at first, so for a while, I plan on opening some extra ones here and there to help with the transition. Hope this helps someone plan their move to full time, and let me know if y'all have any ideas for me. Thanks!

Did your plan work? I just started 45 days ago, and want to do this fulltime. Before school, I have a low booking rate, then the week right before school, I had 79 classes. Now, school stsrted and have a booking of about 30 or 40 classes. I got discouraged fast and hope it goes well and picks back up.

OK, so I currently work with Magic Ears and with 31abc 7 days a week and I love both companies a lot. I'm maxed out for evening BJT hours with both companies so I'm normally only free 8am-4:30pm BJT. I would LOVE another job that I could work during my off hours. Do you think they would hire me if I specify I can only take shifts that are between the hours of 8am-4:30pm BJT? How realistic is it that those shifts fill up? Any VIPkid teachers working between those hours want to weigh in here? I don't want to apply unless I can be more or less sure that the commitment will be worth it.

Hi Hope! I have worked for VIPKID for a little over a year now, and love it! I have been opening up more and more slots. I am curious to know how much time you spend preparing for classes, and gathering props for your 16 classes per day. Right now, I spend about an hour or so per day preparing for 6 classes. Just wondering how and when you prepare, or if you don't need to anymore, since you have taught so many. Thank you! Kristin

This was a year ago and things have changed. I no longer do full time and am working for another company. I believe it would be very difficult for a teacher to go full time with VK now.

Thanks for the video. I'm still struggling to figure out what times the students take the classes. Are there certain hours that you're never going to be able to teach? I am assuming that Beijing time like midnight to 6 a.m. Just because everyone is sleeping but I don't really know. Does everyone in China know about vipkid? The reason I asked that is I figure it's such a big country that may be almost any time you'll have someone who wants to take the class at anytime, I don't know. That's the one thing I haven't really been able to figure out. Thanks again

When you say 11 pm... How? I don't have any openings during the week like that. I'm central time also and the earliest I can book is 4:00am. It goes until 8 am. On the weekends, I can book more - but curious how you get those hours. Is it PRE-vip?

How do you deal with low booking months. I started 3 weeks ago and I went from decent bookings to no bookings just this month. Is summer typically low how do you keep your bookings up besides having fun classes.
