@@RyanSampsonRPh I watched your first video of you taking the Camaro out of the garage. And bringing it home. I watched every video of you taking it down. And redoing everything. Then no more videos. Then I figured when the motor was complete, Then they would start up again. I'm glad the motor finally came in. You are meticulous in what you do. And by yourself to boot. Your work is phenomenal.

on that fan shroud, I discovered a good way to get it looking good; used some Maguire's PlastX plastic polish I had laying around on one and it had it looking brand new with a little bit of work.

Good that ur doing everything oem...alot kids would be putting all kinds of crazy rims and things on it. It deserves to be factory. Why didn't you just tape off the gasket sealing surfaces before block paint? An old trick instead is to coat surfaces with grease.... paint won't stick to those surfaces and then just wipe off.
@RyanSampsonRPh3 жыл бұрын
I hate when people do that stuff but then again I like more oem looks! I was thinking about doing that but just decided to knock the paint off prior to installing the gaskets. I was on a time crunch to get the engine back to the engine dyno as well.

It’s always nice to see the engine return. BTW, did you get the heads checked? Some out of the box heads need work. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGTNn2V7h5loa7s kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqSynpt-n5Ktp6M That fan shroud came out perfect. I used Mothers FX Wheel Cleaner and #0000 steel wool to clean my aluminum valve covers on my 70 Z28.
