This is a true Mach 1 complete with the optional NACA hood scoops and 351 Cleveland engine. 1973 marks the end of an era for the Mustang. With increasing emissions restrictions the early seventies looked like the end of muscle cars forever. The following '74 model year offered a smaller platform with a 140 BHP V6 as the top engine option. This Mach 1 features a 2 barrel 351 Cleveland V8 and is backed by an FMX automatic transmission. This car has undergone a full rotisserie restoration and is finished in its original Bright Red color. The list of new parts on this car is a mile long but includes all new black Mach 1 interior, new exhaust, weather stripping, suspension, starter, water pump, chrome valve covers, and countless trim items. The engine and transmission are backed by a 9" Ford rear end with 2.75 final drive ratio for easy highway cruising. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt under 5,000 miles ago and are very healthy. The dual exhaust certainly has the right muscle car sound this Mach deserves. Options include: Am radio, power front disc brakes, power steering, seat belts, vinyl interior, center console, chrome wheels, and radial tires. I had one painted the same colors. The hood and side stripes were not painted flat black. The black was gloss black. What a difference. Also many of these cars have the hood scoops closed. Mine were always open. Engine never got overheated. Open scoops may have helped with this. Had to sell mine. Due to financial trouble and the engine needed work, it was no longer reliable.

That Mach 1 looks like a champ, I really like it. Dont know if the ram air Hood and air filter is important and the magnum 500 wheels

At about 5:30 are so engine starts up but belt on a/c compressor doesn't move. But great sound effects

There was simply no AC belt on the motor.
