Elin, was that just "ballpark" timing you went with when switching out the distributor? Glad you're installing transmission cover soon, your right elbow/forearm got within two inches of the fast spinning trans yoke.

Yeah, I did proper timing at a later stage. My elbow was never closer than a foot from the shaft. It is just the camera angle.

Terrific to see another TR6 back on the road, problem is you're going to have a lot of trouble going back to the Spitty after driving the TR regularly. I can see a TR in your not to distant future. LOL. I still enjoy my Spitfire. It is not the speed and HP I enjoy in these cars. I really like cruising and enjoying the wind on my face. I might own a TR6 soon yes, but my Spitfire still has a special place in my heart!

Amazing how many classics you see at shows, perfect paintwork etc then a pile of technicolor spaghetti all over the engine bay. I cheated and shoved wires through heatshrink tubing as I couldnt face taping them.

I always loved nice and tidy wiring. When I wire newly built limousines I try to keep them nice and clean, but I've seen such messes that it takes me hours to figure out what does what before I realize there is a blown fuse

Looks like a fun car to drive. Same engine as your GT6?

It is almost the same. the GT6 has lower stroke on the crank hence only 2.0L vs. 2.5L on the TR6 But it is virtually the same engine
