That starter sounds like it hates it’s life lol I’ve seen some with dead spots and you have to hammer it to get it to spin or sometimes the starters bind up like my John Deere did I was lucky I was able to spin the engine backwards and in Jam the starter it’s an onan engine

Yeah the starter wasn't having a good time lol my bronco has a bad spot on the flywheel, have to turn the engine over by hand sometimes until the starter will catch again
