That's one of the most beautiful Fords I've ever seen. It's a shame the Falcon GT was never sold in the US. They would have done very well.

They certainly would have ..This is when Ford U.S. were building the crappy downsized mid 1970's Mustangs . The XB and XC would have done well ..Check out the XC Cobra ...Sheer unasdulterated beauty . Funny thing is I'm not a fan of yellow cars generally but this one is spectacular ...

As a Yank I'd have to say those Falcon lines can compete against anything we offered in the late 60's and early 70's. Fukin beautiful, arguably the best looking Ford muscle car ever built. Especially that one.

@@3PercentNeanderhal well I believe the falcon and mustang have always been pretty close, the early 70s mustangs have similar rear ends to the xb, just look at those window lines

I had a '73 mustang mach-1 in the same livery with a 351C auto. Senior year. Loved its looks. Performance was... erm... yeah, it was such that I would never, ever set foot in one again unless I resto-modded it myself. But this thing here is absolutely gorgeous! Really spot-on for what I was looking for. Front end of a Mach, rear of a torino. Wow! My two favorite cars in one!

I'm a Ford yankee from Michigan and this car is absolutely gorgeous. I think mustangs are over played. I'd take one of these any day over any Ford over here. Although I am partial to the 63 1/2 Galaxy R-code.

They just got those coupes so right in the 70's didn't they? Looks like its doing 100mph in the car park.After watching Mad Max1 & 2 & growing up watching the Hardie Ferrodo & 77 Bathurst 1-2 Moffat hardtops win, i had to own one of these, so as a 19yo, i saved up & got me a 1 owner '73 Fairmont for $3300. I sold it 2yrs later for $5500 because my 1st boss told me,, "That thirsty bastard will keep you poor, Son, sell that & buy yourself a housing block" Biggest regret of my life & i've missed it everyday since. Ironically it'd be worth 100k or more now, so not a bad investment for a $3300 bet. Praying i win the Classics for a Cause Coupe,,wish me luck.Thanks for sharing this superb example. I love it.

A neighbour had one of these (precisely that model/colour) in '74 . I had my '69 series 2 E-Type, plus another little coupe, but it was the Falcon that the kids were excited about.. 'Worra' car they screamed, as he passed by!

I had a 1971 XA 351 GT 5 speed manual toploader. I regret selling my GT. Calypso green with white leather interior. Got caught on hull road Moroolbark Vic 1988 doing 60mph in a 60km zone

I'm a MOPAR MAN but the XB GT has always been my favourite Australian ford and this one is right up there. Beautifully presented, you shoul be proud. The only thing I don't like is the rack and pinion steering but that's just a personal dislike. Not sure about the yellow inserts on the seats either but again, that's just me. Well done for not doing a burn out, it shows younhave respect for the car 😎👍

Mines almost done xb coupe 351 new valves guides and seats to run unleaded with an engine rebuild roller rockers double springs and NO RUST AT ALL!!! 100K in body work restored to new.
