😮 UNBELIEVABLE!! This is truly a DREAM set! I seek out the 1974 Laughlin cards at card shows. I haven't seen 1, let alone the entire set. The fact that this set is graded makes it a SPECTACULAR. Congrats on this set! Thanks for sharing!

I have been a goal collector for many years, but this year I decided to not have a goal and let the collecting come to me. Sets like this are always so cool to look at when its a table top display. Even better, it is all graded. Is this an expensive set to put together.

The best part of set collecting is learning about players you may never have heard about. Willie Foster just looked strong. The Ray Dandridge was a cool card. Hey Jim! I didn't know much about this set until about a year or so ago. Even now, I didn't know too much until I watched your video. Thanks for sharing a little bit of information with almost all the players. I give a lot of credit to Laughlin for putting out such a nice assortment of stars from the Negro Leagues. This set was a head of its time. I also like that they are not colorized as it gives them a vintage feel. The artwork is not cartoonish either, which I am not a fan of like on some of the strip cards from the 20s. The artist or artists did a nice job capturing the likeness of the players and used a good assortment of poses, which adds to the beauty of the display. How long did it take you to put it together? Did you send them all in for grading or did you buy some already graded? They actually make 36 card graded display cases that will hold all of them.

I don't rember seeing 1974 Laughlin sets in convient stores / stationary's ect was this set only sold in Mass. area or other places 2? So these are old cards that came out in 1974? nice Josh Gibson , Satchel Paige , some very nice cards.
