Other than the noise froml engine over revs, skillsaws and such they knew we were always willing to help out, cared about the neighbors and were friendly and decent. 😊

Think I paid 400 for one of these many decades ago now. It was a blast, not a hot rod but fun. Side note: the guy taught me a trick on how to clean this (white) low mileage vehicle that had all the same type of stuff this one does on it (or more) & while it does strip all the wax off, it definitely makes quick work of cleaning it... ( detailer's don't fillet me ;) ). You have to do this with a garden hose & a bucket or two. You'll need a wash cloth, running hose water (no sprayer needed) & the key is it must not dry on the vehicle. The top secret ingredient to this is yes, you guessed it: Comet. Dump it on as you see fit onto the wash cloth * onto a wet vehicle and simply wipe. One bucket is for the wash cloth rinsing. One bucket to dump onto vehicle after wiping. NOTE: I have only tried this on a white vehicle. I have no Idea how & if this would work on any other color. Then after you've dried it, (provided it's not rusty) polish, wax, & treat accordingly :) Great score !

When released In Australia in 1972 the five speed was pretty unique. These first generation models, like in this vid, are becoming very expensive here - if you can find one!.
