Is the 1974 Volkswagen Beetle Sun Bug "SunBug" actually done? Surely I can paint it and redone the interior, but should I? www.rt66auctions.com/ Please consider supporting the channel on Patreon / carysgarage Carysgarage@gmail.com

What a delight. Just deal with the final operating issues. No body/paint. I like original/patina cars. Enjoy it. It'll bring you (and everybody who sees you) endless smiles.

Thanks!! Thats the direction i'm going to take. Just finish up a couple little things and just drive it.

I had one in early 90's, got it up & running, cleaned it up & then sold it, good luck with yours.

It must feel strange after 20 years. Going from yard art to a drivable car. The chrome looks good and I low-key like the bullet holes lol

Great feeling to realize a car goal. I dunno...i really like cars with a lot of road history on them, but a cleaned up Sunbug would be cool too..i remember them back in the day with the metallic gold and lux interiors...very fancy for a bug. Anyway, its enough for now to just enjoy a resurrected bug with its bullet holes
