Spent many hours blasting around the mountains of Missoula Mt on one of these. Back with my best buddy in the mid seventies to 80s. Owned the Moto version also

I had this bike as a teenager growing up. It was a dream bike. Faster than anything. Kept up with 350 street bikes and ran forever. Kick starter kept breaking but other than that bulletproof. Many fond memories made.

I'm restoring a 76 175 TNT OR, I've never seen another one. I had this one since i was a kid, it was an old ice racing bike. It was crazy fast, can't wait to get it done and I bet its worth quite a bit too which is cool.

yes indeed! some of the most massive cooling fins ur ever gonna see on a 2 stroke

I bought a 250 TNT in high school. Mean machine and street legal. If you could keep the front end down you could blow many bikes away every time. If I remember they made a 125 and 175 also. Jimmy Ellis cleaned house with these babies and yes the double jump. Yes the good old days.

My cousin had a 125 version. It was a kick-ass bike also. It was a very smooth and higher quality than our Japanese bikes.

I had a bright orange late 1970s big bore MX5 Qualifier around 1979 and it was a beast of a machine..and uncommon in my area back then so flooded with Japanese 2 stroke bikes..Had a very unique wavy cooling fin design i recall on the cylinder so different it was in many ways to all other machines especially being orange coloured..

Such an amazing bike ! I've lived in eugene Oregon before, and this guy I kinda knew had the same bike i dont know what it is about that bike but the sound of that bike has a different note than the bikes made in japan , when i rode that bike it just wanted to go !
@skip741x33 жыл бұрын
those can ams were the 2 strokes of my dreams when I was a kid! I envied the power output, abt 37 for that enduro and the absolutely Massive cooling fins that made any other 2 stroke look lame.

Beautiful bike. I had the 75 MX version when I was racing back in the day. Didn't know the incredible Captain Cobalt was from your neck of the woods. He inspired me to go CanAm and never regretted it. One of my younger brothers also raced the 76 MX2 CanAm while another brother raced a Husky CR250. There were a few Huskies in our group so I got a big Sharpie and wrote Husky Prod on the tip of my front fender. Looks like you're running a pretty good show down there. Hope to make it one day.

Higher reving power band a little less torque. Thats the difference in the MX-1 and the TNT. The MX-1 is a lot more fun to ride because of the tuning and power band. The MX1 It was shocking to the system
