Larry Ball and Marlin Briscoe, two perfect Dolphins on the 1975 Lions' roster.

The next season, Ball would play for the first-year expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. From the perfect team (1972 Dolphins) to 0-14.

No Corner got burned as much as Lem the gambler. Teams completed a ton of passes on Barney with his habit of playing so far off. I saw every Lions game back in the day and nobody frustrated me more than Lem.

5:52 Before the Megatron Rule. Did he "complete the process"? You make the call!

Though I hated the complete the process rule when it took away the TD from Megatron, I now appreciate it in that it brings a lot of clarity, consistency and eliminates much of the grey area to the catch rule. Image how often a receiver gets his hands on the ball in the end zone, to then lose it. And then we depend on goddamn officials to call it a reception or not.

Actually, in this example, I think it would be ruled a catch today. Note that he had possession, and then he moves in celebration, and then it gets knocked out. The Dez/Megatron non catches had both players falling to the ground in the process of the catch, and then the ground causes loss of control.

Those were the Lions' best uniforms, hands down.

Monday night October 6, 1975. Invaders from Dallas forced their way in. They seized complete control of the Silverdome. They overpowered, overwhelmed, and subdued the Lions..... forcing the Lions to surrender

It was PonMet in 1975...not the Silverdome

@@phillipstankey8881 -- Good one, Phillip. I guess the Scott Mitchell name copy thought he'd get one in, but was stonewalled.
