1975 Donegal Rally (Cine Footage)

With Day 2 of the Donegal Rally now complete we go back to the Year 1975 when the First Real Overseas Entries came to Donegal to sample some Classic Stages,Achim Warmbold dominated in his BMW 2002 leading Dessie McCartney home in his Porsche 911 who in turn had Billy Coleman following him Home in 3rd place at the the end,another Man who was to become a Household Name in Years to come was Ari Vatanen who made his first visit to Donegal with David Richards as his Co-Driver in his Opel Ascona,warm weather conditions big crowds and great competition led to and Event that was not to be missed and as ever Donegal looked stunning in this early Cine Production which has Alan Tyndall telling us the story of the 1975 Rally,we thank the Producers of this great Video and Pat Sullivan Carrignavar for providing us with this Gem of a Production,Enjoy.

FANTASTIC! This film is full of unicorns - Achim Warmbold’s 2002tii, John Price’s (RIP) Porsche and THE Chequered Flag Stratos!!! It’s funny how all the Chequered Flag cars ended up in big accidents (TR7 V8). More Please.
