Small zip ties help hold the brush in place then cutting them later off makes it much easier.

Hi great tip regarding the heavy gauge wire , l see it works great on your bike , and you have tried this before on other MK3 s , ? I ask because it seems so simple , l will give it a try , all the very best , Don.

Well actually it is that simple and to be honest a 4 brush starter just isn't necessary and besides they will draw even more amps! But you do need a good battery that will deliver atleast 300 cold cranking amps. Also your two brush starter needs to be in good working order. The heavy wires we now use are sold by Andover Norton. But you need all three heavy wires to work. I use to have to make my own for a Mk3. Good luck and I hope it works well for you.

What size is needle bearing? Any particular type? Great vid. I’ll do the same.

Thanks for the great comment, the bearing upgrade is kind of a involved process and this starter was modified earlier so we made it look real easy, I think we will do a Norton Mk3 starter bearing upgrade process video because of the amount of typing to explain it would be crazy so be on the lookout for it, thanks again
