This was my first car, past down to me by my mother.. Yup.. It broke alot but I guess thats why I got it. My parents won't admit it but as a young 16 year old, I couldn't get into trouble if most of my time was spent fixing the car. Funny enough, I had the thing running like a champ. Thats how I became a mechanic.. I did end up having a accident when my brakes failed one winter night. Even though I repaired the damage, My parents made me get rid of it. Thats how I ended up with my Trans- Am 6.6

My first car too. Did your engine shut off whenever you took a corner? The aluminum cylinders allowed a lot of oil to get used up…

My first car was a 1976 Astre. Build quality was unbelievably bad. The ad lies. Good fit? Not even close. Things were always breaking. When the engine was cold, even in good weather, always took two tries before it would stay running. Service manager said that how they were, don't even schedule an appointment. This car and the twin Vega sold more Japanese cars than the Japanese car ads. The person I bought it from bought a Honda Civic. I never bought a GM car after that.
