a cousin of mom's bought one just like that new. I thought the seats were so cool and comfy !! we weren't on the cadi side of the family. sad in the early 80s some went Lincoln.

Because cars back in the days were reliable and sleepers , now a days they want you to keep coming back for repairs and stuff.

I have a 2006 GM car with a bench seat and column shift. I had to go 100% retro and put a hood ornament on it (I wish they'd put THOSE on cars again). Anyway, I came out of the store and an old man was circling the car (last time I experienced this my car was GONE when we came out of the restaurant in the 80s so I was prepared). However, he said his wife is mad they got rid of their same car because she missed the bench seat (major complaint with floor shifts for females is they have no place to put their purse - lol). I told him I'd sell mine to him for $1,000 for each 10K miles on the odometer @ $14,000. It didn't fly. You're probably too young to remember when the girlfriend would ride in the middle to be close to the driver with nobody on the right passenger side of the seat. They looked so silly!

This Caddy exterior is Florentine Gold, a Firemist premium paint that was available on Cadillacs and a few other GM models.

@@tapper701 Nah. These horns weren't Donna Summer-ish. They were more like Get Out The Way Just Move!-ish.

@@robk9685 Actually they had some different options for horn. It came standard with a regular sounding horn (for the day that is). You could also upgrade to the trumpet horn. I have one of these but with the regular horn. Which is surprising because mine is the D'Elegance model. So I bought the 3 note trumpet horn to install it. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
