I always watched Wide World of Sports, wether it's Stock Car Racing, Richard Petty was and still is my favorite, Evel Knievel jumping his Harleys over anything, and Celebrity Demolition Derby!!! I tell you, TV was really something to look at back then!!! Mopar Nate Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

No this is too stock lol early 2000’s were the best days still had 70’s cars and they were only slightly modified

That’s sad to see. I don’t think any of those cars were more than 6 or 7 years old, and yet someone felt that the cars were not worth fixing up, and “dying” a painful death (being used in a demolition derby.) Even where I live, the vehicles at the buy here, pay here lots are a lot older than that, and it might be the age of some of the used cars at a new car dealership. My guess is that they had an issue that prevented them from being able to be sold.

I heard that back in the day people replaced their cars more often and used cars weren't worth much. So much so that cars a few years old went to the scrap yard.

@@organrick ..This is a CELEBRITY demo,so they had money for newer cars and these are insurance auction cars..Meaning theft recoveries,accidents etc...Some are also used police cars that probably had some damage,either engine or body repaired for this event..

@@zzoinks ..Not true,like today some people keep them some get new ones every few years...This is a celebrity demo so they used newer cars,bought at insurance auctions..Ex theft,accident cars repaired and used for this as big money sponsors! I come from an affluent family and they kept cars 5-10 years back then...Some bought new cars every year just to show off,others kept them.

These are so much fun to watch. Here in the Pittsburgh Area, one of the big local events is the Big Butler Fair, right around the 4th of July. One of the crowd favorites at the fair are the demolition derbies. And the favorite of all is the 24-Car Demolition Derby featuring 12 men, driving blue cars going up against their ex-wives/ex-girlfriends, driving pink cars.

It seems that this is a bit short I remember see one that Bobby Allison drove a Rolls Royce that was used in Lancelot Link Secret Chimp, it was a Saturday morning kids show, seems like the Rolls caught on fire. Don't remember who won though.
