I’m always amazed when some RVs are not cleaned up before they’re filmed.What I can see of it looks nice

Man does this take me back, when I was just a toddler my parents purchased a 1976 Jamboree on a Chevy van 30 chassis. Had the 454 V8. We took that thing everywhere!! My dad sold it in 1995 the year I graduated..my mom was too sick to travel and I was older and lost Interest....still was a sad day to see it drive away... I wish one day I could restore one and use it..

We've made lots of great memories camping with the family over the years! Maybe one day you can find one to restore. Have fun!

Love that hifi! I bet on the back there is a 1/4" I put back for guitar. My Dad had one like that in the 1970s and that's what I jammed through. Classic ride man

I'm glad I found your channel. Great inspiration to get back into my 1977 Dodge/Harvest 25' class C. (440/727). Nice feature and hte reason I bought it was that it has a tag axle. I too have a lil camping trailer called a Lil Loafer, 1961. That needs some serious help. I'm thinking of putting in a slide out or fold out extra room.

+Chet's Jug That would be cool! We enjoy the small camper but it is a little tight.

+Richard Beard I had this evil idea... I was thinking of putting 2 or 3 small trailers in the back yard. We have a yard that could handle it. Hook up up electricity, build car ports over the tops for shade (and city code) use paving stones for trailer pads, build fire pits. Put in redwood picnic table Vualá! A camping theme back yard. Instant guest housing; no more relatives sleeping on the couch. They could double as changing rooms for swim parties. Maybe an A Frame gardening shed that looks like a KOA store. LOL If it was all done up in 1960's motife and it would actually work! I also have a 1966 Regatta 14' speed boat along the back wall to top it all off :p

Chet, that would be awesome! Maybe AirB&B?

Hi there! I have this same RV and am having terrible electrical issues with the motor. Somewhere from the ignition to the starter is heating and frying. My dad isn’t too sure what’s going on with it, would love some advice! :)

Hi, I wish I could give some good advice on the electrical issue. I'm not the best with that sort of thing. I hope you can get it worked out!

Looking at possibly getting an older dodge rv. Thank you for the walk around and also for letting me know there is someone in the Nashville area that can work on it if need be

Hello! I know this is an older video but I wanted to reach out since I just bought the exact same motorhome. Hoping you might be able to give some advice - what kind of house battery do you use?
@vintagecamperrehab58883 жыл бұрын
Hi Breeonna, congrats on your motor home purchase. You’ll have a great time with it! I’m sorry but I don’t remember what kind of house battery was in there. I don’t have this RV any longer. For my Holiday Rambler I bought an AGM battery. It lasts a long time but you need to make sure the inverter/charger is suitable for charging it. Have fun!

I have 1977 and am having trouble finding replacement taillights for it that have a wedge she to them to contour to the RV. Any suggestions would be helpful it's all original and I'd like to keep it that way if possible
@vintagecamperrehab58886 жыл бұрын
Vintagetrailersupply.com has some older style but I doubt they have anything for a '77. Maybe eBay but that will be hit or miss. If it was me I would probably buy some that look period correct and make some wedges to make them fit. It would be best to make them out of aluminum but it might be hard to find and cut. Another option would be to make wedges out of oak and paint several coats on all sides to seal and protect. I made a piece to mount the propane regulator to on the front of our '73 Holiday Rambler out of oak and painted it white. It is holding up well. Good luck. Thanks for watching!

I have an opportunity to buy one if these 1975 (69,000) miles for $1000. Do you think that's a good deal?
@vintagecamperrehab5888 Жыл бұрын
Wow it really depends on the condition but $1000 doesn’t sound bad

A real oven 🍾. Not sure if you checked or not but if gas line original they cannot handle gas with ethanol in it. Unless you don’t have that there.

I'm considering a 78 dodge sportsman (smaller in size) with just under 80,000 miles, it runs and drives and comes with a fresh oil change. The price is $3,000 and i dont know ibthats fair or not, I'm open to input from anyone with experience with these types of vehicles (I have none); thoughts, tips, concerns, and comments are all welcome!
@vintagecamperrehab58886 ай бұрын
I really could not judge if that’s a good price or not without seeing it. But some things to look for are: look for signs of water damage on the ceiling, look for signs of soft spots in the floor. Test out as many of the components as you can. Does the air conditioning work, refrigerator, furnace? Are there any leaks in the plumbing system? How are the tires? Best of luck!!

I need to check my email more often. Sorry it took so long for my reply. I have a issue with my RV. It is a fuel problem and I cant get it to start. Due to my rather meger income I tend to drive around low on gas almost all the time. I get a lot of sludge in the fuel filter intern ruining the fuel pump. In the past I simply replaced the fuel pump and filter and off she'd go. Not this time however. I think the fuell line is plugged at the tank so there it sit's, in my driveway, not willing to start.
