Thanks so much for posting this great album! It's one of my all around favorite Kingsmen albums that I unfortunately don't own. All great songs with great singing and instrumentation. The Kingsmen were one of my favorite groups when I was growing up. This is during the era that they were at their very best!

In 1974, The Kingsmen came out with an Album called "1686 Pounds of Gospel". My Mother first bought a copy of that Album in 1975, and that was the first time that I'd ever even heard of the Kingsmen Quartet. That was 46 years ago, and I STILL enjoy listening to it, from time to time. In my opinion, it's an absolute classic!

I had this album as a child- must have played it 200 times. I don't see Jim Hamill on the cover- was he not with the group for this album?

He departed for a short time and joined the Senator's. Mark Trammell was with the Senator's at the same time.

Gosh, Trammel must have been VERY young then- he was (is) much younger than Hamill.

I love this album, but I'm having some trouble... I cannot get the bass to come through very well. Was one of the speaker channels missing or only coming through weak when you posted this or is there some trouble with my system? I can barely hear Ray during his solos, like he's way out in the distance. I thought that the problem was possibly my KZbin app on my phone, but when I went to the computer it does the same thing. (I've had the phone app give me trouble before a few years ago on an Inspirations Quartet song. At that time I tried it on the computer and it worked correctly. This time I can't get either to work. Yet when I listen to this on my 8-track tape player everything is there and sounds really good - only the 8-track isn't convenient to carry around with me.) I also noticed this same issue with some of the other Kingsmen's albums that you've posted, some of which I don't have another copy of. Please let me know what you find out. Thanks!
