I have played with a T2000, takes a ‘lot’ of getting used to . Testament to Jimmy Connor’s’ skill and tenancy 👋. I’ve also tried the Head Vilas racquet , incredibly heavy and wieldy, again it shows Vilas’ talent ! 2 tennis icons .🎾🎾

Nastase played a really good match against Borg. Very nice to watch.

This was the last year that Nastase was a true threat. Borg handled him. Connors crushed Vilas in the first semi. Great tournament overall. Especially the final. Interesting strategy by Ilie when down 2-3 to Borg in the second set. It worked.

US Open should have remained clay or grass... but of course, their players would not have been as successful and thus I can see them eventually settled for hard court. The landscape in terms of winners would have been very different.
