1977 BMW R75/7: Episode 10 - Oil pan, Timing Chain & Breather Valve

In this episode we continued with our restoration project by replacing oil pan gasket, timing chain with guide rail and tension spring and upgrading old disc type breather valve with new reed style.

My breather valve was blocked and wow had to use a spoon my mech said to clean it out. It was a r60/5 72 swb

good evening sir....... after you removed the Cam chain did you check the bearing and top Cam chain sprocket for ware?? please and thank you.......

Absolutely. After detailed inspection, it was concluded that sprockets did not have any visible wear and bearing did not have any free play. Therefore, there was no need to replace them at this moment. They should be good for another 70k miles :) thanks for watching
