This looks like a 1970s Epiphone ET-290, really. Full-sized humbuckers, stop tail, sunburst fading to Cherry on the edges, Gold Hardware, _Made in Japan..._ It all fits. Yeah, it's based on the Crestwood / Olympic / Wilshire body shape, but it's an ET-290.

I just saw one at a pawn shop for $400. Looks like the original pickups and tailpiece have been replaced though. Very cool.

I have an ET290 exactly like this one and they play and sound amazing, mine is a 76 model. Oh and BTW these are not actually Crestwoods, they are just ET290's they were never marketed as being Crestwoods.

sounds great. I have one in cherry red with an amazing flame top. Stock p'ups still rip for a 40 year-old guitar. Just don't call it a Crestwood. This is the awesome ET-290. ;)

Didn't they change the name from Crestwood to ET-290 once they began importing them? Cool none the less.

So if it has a bolt on neck and three on a side tuners it is MIJ?

Great ET-290. I got one for X-mas in '75 and I still rock it. The pickups are lower output, so it's a great guitar for Blues and Classic Rock IMO.

I got an ET-275 the very same Christmas. I was in 6th grade.

Oi was always confused about the difference between the sixbon a side Wilshires and the three on a side . Now I know! MIJ Epiphone! There is a beat up one in a pawn shop. A little to much now but if it sits there....
