That fight started by Dawkins lost the series for the Sixers. Portland was a different more focused team after that. If Dawkins does not do that, I truly believe the Sixers win that series in 5 games.

Wow! At 1:26:16 Doug Collins does a successful reverse layup very similar to Dr. J's in the '80 finals, baseline.

Sorry, not even close. And I luv 'em both.

Real basketball, post-game very relevant. No one taking two dribbles past half court and shooting some 35 foot or longer three with 0 ball movement. I've tried it enough, today's NBA is just unwatchable, just mindless. They need to get rid of the three, or in the very least get rid of corner threes. Maybe that will liven the game up some with baseline play. Probably bring back some nuance. It's drive and kick three-point chuck fest. Boring af.

I have gotten into a few arguments with people who said Dawkins was a wasted talent and that he underperformed. Watch all the blocked shots (even though a couple were goaltends) in this game and tell me otherwise.

Loser, sorry. Not a winner, along with Bibby, Free and Mc Ginnis, in the topic moments I mean. Just Dr. J and Collins were winners in that team. For this they lost the series.

I think Dawkins would have been better served if he went to college or Shue had played him more to get experience. Drafted in 1975, but didn't become full time starter until 1979 when Cunningham was coach. Double D could only learn so much from practice and watching from the bench.
