1977 Gillette Atra my first purchased razor Along with British Sterling

You never forget your first, I have a great shave with the first razor I ever bought. Finished it off with some "new" British Sterling (Not what I remembered) but a nice scent.

Man you took me back. I graduated from high school in 1993 and Gillette sent me in the mail my very first razor which was the Gillette Sensor. Had a nice holder and a few cartridges. Twin blade of course. Wish i still had it.

I was really pleased to find this deep in my drawer, the old Atra's and Sensors were good shavers!

Great throwback shave! I’ve been tempted to do a shave like this...... but I have enough soap to last until I’m 300 years old so I’m trying to chew through it. My 18 year old still uses that stuff and then he does the odd DE shave. Hope you have a great weekend!

TShull haha! He’s all stocked up on that stuff as it is... i’m trying to get him to make the switch as I have enough soap for the both of us. Keeping the Atra isn’t a bad idea, lots of guys are using razors like that with their high end software to good success. Cheers!!

Nice throw back to the old days shave... I think I used Schick injectors most of my shaving life before two years ago going to the DE and starting to really enjoy shaving for the first time in life. Most of my life I had the worst technique and cut myself all the time and go only so so shaves..... Trying to do better now ...LOL Kit

Kit I always used a track II, or the Atra or the disposables also had a Norelco rechargeable in the 90s for a couple a years but never could embrace it.It was pitting a palm sander to my face.

I think I might of had one of those razors. I know I switched from some other razor in 1998 to a Mach 3 . Used Mach 3 for 20 years. Now I use straights.

I Bought a Classic Reed And Barton Gillette Atra For Women Silver Plated Razor i Bought on Ebay And I Bought it was Extremely Rare There was Only a few Made That was Made in 1981 And plus I Also Have My First Cartridge Razor i Ever Ordered on Ebay in 2007 Was The Gillette Vector Plus Red Handle That one i Bought in 2007 on Ebay 😊

Sorry but I’m afraid that razor is definitely not a Gillette 1977 ATRA….the 1977 ATRA was an all black plastic handle and the knurling was completely different. The one you have in the video is an ATRA from the 1990s
