Contrary to BMW opposing twins, it vibrates low down but not up top. It just sings as this video shows admirably.

Thanks for this. I had a 1000 LeMans Mk2 back in 1982, but unfortunately crocked it and myself by throwing it in a ditch one dark night. I loved my bike, did some 30000 km in a year without missing a beat, despite the thrashing I gave it now and then. To this day I mourn that bike. I would have loved to build a 3 wheeler using a Guzzi motor, but age and finances count against me unfortunately.

Honda made the CX500 based on the Guzzi’ sta longitudinal inline V twin with shaft drive, they were that impressed with design.

In 1977 I bought a new 850 LeMans from the dealer in San Francisco. Sold it later that year and went to school. One of the few bikes I regret selling, would buy another to join my R90S in the shop.

@@1150migrant Ouch! Truly coulda been a 70’s dream team trio. My three in the garage are a 1973 Commando Roadster, a 1978 Guzzi Le Mans and a 1982 BMW R100CS. Not quite as cool as your possible trio.

@@pdm2201 that’s a nice trio! My first bike was a ‘73 Norton 850, black, paid $1,751 new. Good memories of all. Enjoy your rides!

Great Memories ! 👍🏻 ‘Had One just like It, though I had put an R90 quarter fairing on It. That Bike Was Such a Joy to Ride,,, Very nearly got killed on It as I left a Winnipeg Blue Bomber Game(lost to the Argonauts), ‘Cost me Fortune to Rebuild, Front Wheel/Forks,,, I was a Kid and rather reckless, But, “Fuck ! I Loved That Bike !” I Now Ride a 2003 leMans and am’64. ‘Love Guzzis, “The Way the V was Meant to Be ! 👌🏻🏍️👍🏻 More Power to You ! Pure Beauty in Motion

Where's the fairing? And where's the steering damper? But I like it when it stalls at 6:11. Nice clutch start? Didn't work at 7:04?

Makes me miss the Spada I had in the 80's. Lusting after an F800GT BM now, but need to stay away from bikes. Coming off at my age, wouldn't do me any good.

Buy an airbag vest, it'll protect your vital organs and back. Keep riding, it is good for your mental health, and will actually help keep dementia away, as your brain is VERY engaged when riding.
