My dad had a '76 regular ELDORADO. Fully equipped, 500cid F.I. it made more power F.I. but, never got the extra MPGs that Caddy claimed. The rear when ppl in back would jump like a bronco when turned on. He had turbine like wheels with VOGUE tyres. He kept it longer than normal. Didn't like all the mess the newer 1s had. This 1 on video is nice, but, those rims don't fit the character of the car. The astroroof was better than the convertible. The MARK UP was crazy. SECURITY was another issue. Plus, it was significantly quieter. Standard of the world.

Gorgeous car! One thing I would do different, invert the tires and lose the whitewalls. That will give more focus on the wire wheels, whitewalls are a pain in the butt to keep maintained. The only negative about this series of Eldorado is that damn vinyl top, it's just one more thing to eventually repair, otherwise it's a real beauty with great lines. Why isn't a price included?

that is one gorgeous American made Cadillac I drove many caddy eldorados but that one is absolutely gorgeous only thing it's missing is the Continental kit that would make that car serious and dual exhaust

The 425 v8 on the 78 Eldorado had a 6 quart oil pan instead of 5 quart it had air shocks in the back that you could pump up and set rear end up like a drag car! My dad's was that coco Brown color and it was a Biarritz!

I think this Eldorado only has one thing I would change. The rims are a bit too customized for my taste. I like OEM Cadillac wire rims which are more suited for this year of Eldorado.

While the car looks somewhat ok, The car sits about two inches lower than it should which makes me think the load levelers need attention. Also, the wire wheels and wide whitewall tires look tragic .

1st of all white wall tires on this car , is true to the period that this car came out . . . Also , Cadillac has been using wire rims on their cars for decades ! The wire rims on this vehicle are called tru classics rims , they were pretty much the go to rims if you got after market wire rims in the mid and late 70s . . . I think the white walls look nice and are period correct ! But a set of vogue's along with the tru classic rims would be ultimate , and Cadillac did sale a package that included tru's and vogue's ! And foremost jaguar , Ferrari , Lincoln and even Aston Martin had wire rims and could be bought off the showroom floor as such !

Total BULLSHIT I OWN a 76 convertible El Dorado last 11 years. Starts on a dime & has cost ZERO MAINTENANCE in that time. Oil & gas. Cadillac Stop making shit up!
