Absolutely awesome ride! GM really hit a home run with the downsized B/C bodies of 1977. These were proper full-size luxury cars that finally weren't too big, too gaudy, or too thirsty. Plus they actually handled. GM left both Ford and Chrysler in the dust with these, and those last two never fully recovered.

The color is Blackwatch green. Blackwatch is a base color for Scottish plaid. Rare color and we need more green cars. Nice buy.

78 Fleetwood brougham. My folks bought a 79 Special order Coupe DeVille loaded. Including power passenger recliner, outside temperature and more. They gave it to me as my first car in the 1980s and I knew it was excellent because it was always garaged and I waxed it as my Dad and Mom did also about every three months 55,000 miles. A Cotillion White Coupe DeVille. Landau vinyl top. Powder blue split front leather seats. I drove that car to a little over 100,000 miles and no problems, What so ever. Just oil changes and I’m not even sure I changed the tires! I don’t think I ever did as they were Uniroyal white walls. That was the nicest riding car I had ever owned. Except for my Lexus LS 430 today but the Devilles back then just floated down the road and the comfort was supreme in the seats and they did not nosedive. They handled the road pretty darn well. You will also notice the patented special Cadillac Exhaust rumble! I can tell you about anything regarding these cars.

Cadillac/GM did a fantastic job downsizing their full sized in 1977, witness this Cadillac. They ride as nicely as the previous full sized version, but drive so much better. What a nice example, probably one of the nicest remaining ones.

What a beautiful car and yes a rare color combination I know it well. In 1978 I was 17 years old growing up in a suburb of Pittsburgh PA. I had my own car detailing company I called it Car Care Incorporated I was rolling around in all the Cadillacs and Lincolns and Mercedes back then. Listening to Barry White and Earth Wind & Fire! In 78 my dad bought my step-mom a new D' Elegance exactly like this But a different color. And of course wire hubcaps not wire wheels. I remember and 78 and I believe it was only that year they had different buttons for the power door locks and the power windows they were not the traditional buttons beautiful car you will do well with that

That is very cool!! I was detailing in the mid 70's too, but under my dad's wing. I was in charge of cleaning the wheels and the chrome bumers. Did that in the summers.

I put MANY thousands of miles on my '78 Fleetwood Brougham. I wish I still had it. Despite some issues with malaise era '70s Delco electronics, it was a solid car and there was no more comfortable way to get from here to there.

So in 1978 they finally returned to the appropriate vertical taillight fins with brake light! Also, they moved the power seat control to the driver's door armrest. (I happened to get the brochure on 1978 last week.) Does it have fuel injection? Gorgeous Caddy!
@christianbugatticg Жыл бұрын
They did get some of that stuff sorted!! And this has a carb!
@TeeroyHammermill Жыл бұрын
@viciouspoodle5543: The analog EFI they were using back then wasn't that good. You're better off sticking with carbs if you're into 70s Caddys.

Hey Bill, what a gorgeous Cadillac, inside and out. The 425 is sweet. The d’elegance package is the absolute best and really is nicer than the standard fleetwood interior in my opinion. I’m curious, what’s the quietest car you’ve ever sold? Good luck and take care!

I know you want to sell these cars on that overpriced dump of a platform, but you know what youtube needs a lot more of? Videos like this where you can see the car driving inside and out but WITHOUT the sales pitch. Probably would do better doing videos like that, getting views and shares, then linking your crazy price auction in the description. Doesn't help your sales guy couldn't sell ice to a Casablancan, or that half the car doesn't work and you haven't bothered to fix it for the insane pricetag. Original doesn't mean jack when its all broken. Replace with working oem, disclose replacement, and move on.
