1978 GMC Sierra 25

Had a 83 with a 305 and a normal bed . Front + rear sway bars with high rider self leveling suspension. Good truck . The auto was a little weak and blew some seals but it did fine till I snapped the frame hauling scrap iron with it . Almost 4,000 lbs . 1/2 ton truck. Camper special .

too bad it isn't 4x4 the dual tank models came with the sb 400ci engine, still a gem though! thanks for posting.

Im currently restoring a 78 GMC k25 3/4 ton camper special . Everything is almost exactly the same though. down to the original stereo and how to use a seatbelt thing! only difference is it has 4x4

This is almost cheating... A 78 Sierra Classic - Camper Special. So my guess on the back story is first owner a retiree bought as a package with camper. Sat on property, covered/in barn after 1 maybe 2 trips with camper. Owner died, inheritance got it, didn't know what to do with it but stored it correctly now deciding to sell. Anyways, I'm so jealous! Great find! Rode my Sierra Classic till the body fell off (Minnesota) and the engine burned as much coolant as gas (prior owner overheat > slight leak >> catastrophic failure 10 yrs later).
